Joshua’s Law

Joshua's Law was passed during the 2005 General Assembly. Beginning July 1, 2021, all drivers under 18 years old applying for a Class D driver's license must:

Complete an approved 30-hour driver education course.
Perform a total of 40 hours of supervised driving.
Have a parent or guardian's sworn verification that these requirements have been met.

Any Georgia teen who needs to complete an approved driver's education course must be at least 18 to be eligible for a Class C driver's license. They must have completed at least 40 hours of supervised driving, including at least 6 hours at night. In addition, you must provide a notarized statement from a parent or guardian. Class C License

Enroll in our Driver's Education Course to be eligible for a Class C License at 18. You could also receive a reduction in your auto insurance; contact your agent for details.

You could also receive a $150 tax credit for completing the course. Contact our office or view our online schedule for upcoming classes.

What Is the Fee?

STARTING JULY 1, 2024 the price is $295 for the 30 hour Joshua's Law class and $295 for the 6 hour behind-the-wheel lessons in one of our state certified vehicles.

If both are booked together the price is $540. That's a savings of $50!
